The sleepy hamlet of Cabarita Beach is slowly waking following the record $1.7 Million sale of an apartment at The Beach.

 

The sale of the absolute beachfront, 150 sqm three bedroom apartment to a retired Brisbane Supreme Court judge equates to an impressive $11 333 per square metre. Brinton Keach, director of The Beach's marketing agent, PRD Colliers said "Not only is The Beach rivalling apartment prices on the Gold Coast but so too are its neighbours, the multi award winning townships of Casuarina Beach and Salt Village. The fact is beachfront land is finite and The Beach sits on one of the most spectacular headlands on the east coast of Australia." The Beach, developed by ResortCorp, is due for completion in November.

Habitat Contribution to "The Beach"

Habitat's environment scientists undertook detailed ecological analysis of the entire site and adjoining coastal dunal system and rainforest reserve as part of the ResortCorp development application for this site. Included in our works were Detailed Ecological Site Assessment, Flora and Fauna Management Plan and Dune Management Plan. Collectively, these environmental management plans made a significant contribution to the entire development approval for the project. This was particularly significant as the site is absolute beachfront and adjoins significant and very sensitive environmental and public open space areas.
