B.Sc (Environmental)

 

Simon Muirhead is an Environmental Scientist with Habitat Environment Management specializing in environmental management and monitoring techniques. Simon holds a Bachelor of Environmental Science with Honours in Science from Griffith University Gold Coast Campus. Simon’s main focus has been Ecological Assessment, with particular attention paid to avifauna. Other major areas of involvement have included environmental legislative requirements under State and Commonwealth legislation, Water and Soil Quality, Geographic Information Systems and Environmental Management Plans.

Environmental Management Plans (Including Fauna, Rehabilitation, Vegetation, Open Space and Covenant Management Plans);

Residential Development throughout Queensland. Recent large-scale developments include The Coomera Retreat (Upper Coomera),River Links (Hope Island) Green Valley (Loganholme), The Sanctuary (Arlie Beach).

Southport-Broadwater Parklands Redevelopment Marine/Terrestrial Impact Assessment, Sea-grass Mapping, and Mangrove Rehabilitation, Gold Coast City Council, QLD.
