Habitat's Managing Director, Mr Matt Keys has recently been elected president of EnviroIndustry Gold Coast.

 

Better known simply as EI, EnviroIndustry Gold Coast is the leading business organisation for companies who are directly involved with environmentally sustainable services or products. Members of EI include pest managers, recyclers, inventors, environment planners, solar panel manufacturers, engineers, irrigators and water quality scientists. 

 

"I'm greatly honoured to take on the role of EI President for the coming year. The Gold Coast is in a unique position by virtue of the fact that our future industries will be reliant upon environmentally sustainable products and services being created. Our tourism industry can't afford heavy engineering, smoke stack style of mass employment so we have to ensure that our future economic growth is based on sustainable goods and services."
